Happy Dog Cafe's background literally began with the birth of Teresa Murphy (now McCarter). Teresa McCarter’s life-long love of animals (but especially dogs) can be traced as far back as three years of age when she confiscated her neighbor’s dog, “Flubber” and hid it in the refrigerator for safe keeping. Fortunately her dad, seeing what she’d done, removed Flubber from the refrigerator and made Teresa take Flubber back to its rightful owners. Sensing her love for Flubber, the neighbors gave him to her.

In the years since, her love, dedication and concern for canines has increased. On several occasions she has called Rob requesting that he immediately stop what he is doing to assist her in the rescue of an abandoned dog. Her love, dedication and concern for our “four-legged friends” led to the conception of Happy Dog Café Boutique & Spa, Inc.
